An Early Morning With Birds Of Prey

An Early Morning With Birds Of Prey

I was recently afforded the opportunity to spend an early weekend morning with the most majestic and regal birds of prey thanks to Hawkquest. Hawkquest is nonprofit organization that is dedicated to the education of the importance of biodiversity, of the finality of extinction, and of man's need to nurture his world to preserve our place in the ecosystem. After spending a few hours with Kin, the Master Falconer I had a much greater appreciation for these creatures and my responsibility to help preserve our ecosystem. If your live in the Denver area and have school aged children this would be a great recommendation for a school field trip or an in school lecture. For those of you outside of this geographical area this is definitely an organization worthy of your donations. All in all this was a most memorable day, well worth the frost bitten fingers and toes from wandering through the snow on a chilly Colorado morning.

The most interesting man in the world Page, Arizona

This is our second trip to Page Arizona but by far our best and that is due entirely to Terry Moore Bio FB. We have the privilege of staying with Terry as house guest during our adventures in Page. Terry was a Hollywood animal trainer and stunt double for over 30 years and most recently worked with the show Man VS Wild as a survival and wild animal consultant. In his past Terry has also owned two of the top 10 adventure lodges in the country. All accolades aside Terry is full of information regarding survival in the wild and the off the beaten path secrets in this part of the country.

Our foot prints have been the only ones we've seen on all of our hikes (about 10 miles today) we even explored an area that was new to him today.
We couldn't be happier with our hiking experience thus far.

As a bonus his house is filled with exotic snakes, various reptiles and Toya's favorite Rascal the ferret. We can only hope that he invites us to his place in Costa Rica once he gets settled. In the mean time if your looking for an off the beaten path adventure Terry is your man Please take a minute to browse through the galleries to see some of the incredible places Terry shared with us.

Dancing with wolves The perks of adventure photography

I decided to take my wife on an adventure photo shoot for our anniversary and this is what she said. "Thanks babe! Another amazing and memorable experience. Who knew I could love them so much. We spent our 8th anniversary (with Ajayce and Aubrey)Dancing with the Wolves @ The Rocky Mountain Wildlife Foundation in Guffey, CO. Founded by Mark Johnson in 2001 as a non-profit organization committed to caring for the survival of wolves in as natural environment as possible. There they provide a sanctuary and rehabilitation for wolves who have suffered from injuries or abuse, and a permanent sanctuary for those unable to be released back into the wild. Mark is great, before we were able to see the wolves he takes the time to tell you the history of these furry animals. If you are looking for a awesome field trip, this one should definitely be on your list!"
